In addition, his collaborative research has appeared in various international peer-reviewed journals, acrossing multiple displines such as advanced synchrotron techniques, surface science, nanotechnology, battery materials, fuel cells, biomass conversion et al. Moreover, his research has also been featured in several oral presentations at international conferences. As an early career researcher, he has successfully secured small research grants of more than 3000 GBP from the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), and University College London (UCL). So far, he has over 3,000-hour experimental experience at seven different synchrotrons, including DLS, DESY, BESSY-II, Spring-8, PLS-II, BSRF and SSRF. He is skilled in operation and data analysis of several advanced characterization techniques, including STEM, NAP-XPS, NAP-NEXAFS, SXPD, XAFS, HERFD-XANES, XES, XRF, Hard X-ray micro/nano-probe imaging, et al.

Education

2016- | MPhil/PhD in Chemical Engineering
Materials and Catalysis Laboratory
Department of Chemical Engineering
University College London
Supervisors: Dr. Feng Ryan Wang and Prof. Andrew Beale.

2012-2016 | BSc in Chemistry
State Key Laboratory of Rare Earth Material Chemistry and Application
College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering
Peking University
Supervisors: Prof. Chun-Hua Yan and Prof. Ling-Dong Sun.

Orals

2020 | 17th International Congress on Catalysis (cancelled due to the COVID-19).
2019 | 14th European Congress on Catalysis.
2018 | 7th EuCheMS Chemistry Congress.
2018 | 18th Nordic Symposium on Catalysis.
2018 | UK Catalysis Conference 2018.
2017 | The 1st UCL Catalysis Workshop.
2017 | UK Catalysis Conference 2017.

Go To

Research Members Facilities Publications News Gallery

Email: liqun.kang.16@ucl.ac.uk ORCID: 0000-0003-2100-4310 Profile Liqun Kang is a UCL Graduate Research Scholarships (UCL-GRS) and Overseas Research Scholarships (UCL-ORS) recipient and PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering of UCL.
