{"id":113,"date":"2018-12-19T17:12:14","date_gmt":"2018-12-19T17:12:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mcl-ucl.synology.me\/wordpress\/?page_id=113"},"modified":"2019-04-27T23:10:00","modified_gmt":"2019-04-27T22:10:00","slug":"facilities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mcl-ucl.synology.me\/wordpress\/?page_id=113","title":{"rendered":"Facilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Materials and Catalysis Laboratory (MCL) has all of the facilities of a world-class research centre.<\/p>\n<p>Our lab specialises in materials synthesis and characterisation with a focus on heterogeneous catalysis and battery technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Our in-house lab facilities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Microwave Plasma &#8211; Atomic Emission Spectrometer (MP-AES)<\/li>\n<li>Gas Chromatograph &#8211; Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS)<\/li>\n<li>Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR)<\/li>\n<li>Tube Furnace<\/li>\n<li>High Pressure Autoclave Reactor<\/li>\n<li>Nitrogen Sorption Surface Area Analyser<\/li>\n<li>Electrochemical Cell Setup<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Under the umbrella of UCL research, we can access and frequently use:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)<\/li>\n<li>Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)<\/li>\n<li>Energy Dispersive X-Rays (EDX)<\/li>\n<li>X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS)<\/li>\n<li>X-Ray Powder Diffraction (XRD)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) and\u00a0Imaging and Microscopy: Our expertise in characterisation techniques extends to X-ray Light Source Synchrotron Facilities.
